An American Legacy

Dedicated to carrying forward a legacy of creating beautiful, responsible, enduring wood flooring, American OEM Wood Flooring is reinventing the great American tradition of small, family-owned hardwood manufacturing for future generations.

Founded by Don Finkell, former CEO of Anderson Hardwood Floors, we create products that reflect the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. And we’re committed to advancing our deep-rooted history of hardwood leadership in the process. A history that includes innovations such as creating engineered wood products for glue-down installation, aluminum oxide finishes and hand-scraped hardwoods, as well as industry-leading practices both social and environmental.

Drawing upon more than 75 years of experience in the hardwood industry, our goal is to create attractive, long lasting floors in a range of textures and styles. Our products feature a variety of North American species, from red and white oak, to hickory and maple. Our 8-foot board length (the longest in the industry) has already changed the course of hardwood flooring design.

Tucked amidst the gently rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, we embrace both traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology to create floors designed for today – and tomorrow. Using sustainable, socially responsible business model that employees both civilian and inmate labor, we focus on producing design-leading, cost-effective and durable American-made alternatives to imported products. Our close proximity to the US market means customers who partner with us enjoy dramatically reduced lead times and significantly reduces inventory costs – all while supporting the US hardwood economy by choosing domestically manufactured products.

With the addition of Executive Vice President Allie Finkell (Granddaughter of Andy Anderson founder of Anderson Hardwood floors and daughter of Don Finkell), the fourth generation of producing great American made hardwood floors is underway and the legacy continues...
